Set up a proxy on your Android

Many s prefer to surf the web or access their applications while staying anonymous and protecting their privacy. There is no better way of doing this than by setting up a proxy on your mobile which works as an intermediary between the 's device and the server being connected to.

One of the simplest solutions for Android is ProxyDroid, a complete configurator of open-source proxies and which s HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4 and SOCKS5. However, it is a tool which requires that the phone be rooted in order to be able to access all of its functions, so despite being easy to use it does need some work beforehand, which may not be within the capabilities of all s.

Main features

Once the APK has been installed and our device has been rooted, we will be able to access the following functions in order to set up our mobile proxy:

• s the main proxy protocols like HTTP, SOCKS4 and SOCKS5.
• s authentification methods NTLM and NTLMv2.
• Allows different profiles to be created.
• Option for configuring the proxy only for specific apps or app groups.
• Turn the proxy on and off using a simple widget.
